The aim of the Nine Man Solitaire is to remove as many of the marbles from the board as possible. Marbles are removed by jumping over a single marble into an empty hole in a straight line. The marble that was jumped over is removed. Jumps can be made diagonally as well as along rows and columns. The ultimate challenge is to end with a single marble in the centre hole.
